This afternoon the Shogun cleared Point Loma armed for bear. We are on another 13 day trip with a boat load of regulars from Will Fish Tackle. Jack raffled off a beautiful Okuma bait stick and other goodies. Capt. Bruce has us headed south, and when we get to the fork in the road he will commit the Shogun to our final destination. Right now the seas are fairly calm, we left in choppy seas and south wind, running from the approaching storm. We are holding two slammers full of sardine, plenty of fuel, and enjoying a fine meal of New York strip. The sky's the limit!

Hello to everyone at work and home, Well i'm going to do a two day thingy report. As for sunday the 2nd (i'll just call it black sunday) we caught nothing for all day, wind was up and it was just not a good day. We went into the beach that night and made a couple of tanks of mackies and then rolled back out to the tuna grounds for mondays fishing. As for monday the 3rd, we woke to better conditions in the a.m. we looked for most of the day, caught a tuna in the morning (not a biggie) so round 1500 we had a meter mark, threw some bait and waited a few and then BAM we hooked our first fish (200 lb) they started boiling around the boat. So between 1500 and dark we hooked and landed round 6 tunas, all very nice ones. One was a tackle buster as you can see by the pic., that one was landed by Mike Estrada, also holding there fish are
Jason E. (he caught it) with the help of his dad (he was tried) and Pete G. with a peach (240 lb).
So now it's round 1800 on tuesday evening, we cleaned the boat and had some afternoon snacks, now we are in the wheelhouse (just the boys) telling fish tales and lies. We are travling all day tomorrow (wens) and be in early thursday morning to unload our catch. I'll send out some more pics tomorrow.
Till then,

Hello to all you fishing folks, Boy, what a slow day taday, after the wind and rain yesterday it put the fish down. We looked hard today, caught a couple of tunas and a hoo. The weather turned around for us late today, wind backed off and the seas laided down, it can only get better from here on out. Wish us luck. Not much more to report from our end.
Till tomorrow

Hello to all, Well we are still here fishn. Boy, it was a rainy day in baja this morning and then round 1500 the wind kicked in, still kinda windy but, not to bad. As for fishing, we had a fair day, started out good with a bite this morning that lasted bout 2 hours, not real jumbos but, nice size ones, then we went through a mid-day lull. Round 1615, we located some of the larger ones (200 lbs or so) we had a short handful of that grade. We are drifting now and set up for the morning n tomorrow. The passengers are great, staying at the rail and soaking baits - rain, wind and all that other stuff that goes with long range fishing. Food is good, bout it for now.
Pics are of Wayne G - Mark K - Laurence R and Jeff S. with a nice pair of tunas.
Till tomorrow

Hello to everyone at home and at work, boy what a tough afternoon. We never hit the big score (bummer) we landed a couple of more tunas this afternoon, that was it. The weather is still good, our guest are happy and we are waiting for dinner and a short nap before getting back to work in a couple more hours. Bout it.

Hello to all, so as night falls on this tues., evening down here on the tuna grounds, would you like to know how are day went?? Well good, I thought you might. Breakfast was good, lunch was great and we have not had dinner yet. As for the day of fishing, it was a fair day for how things are going, we woke to some tunas under the boat this morning threw some baits in the water and hooked afew small ones and then the biggers ones showed up, most of them came on the kite and afew more on the flylined baits, we drifted until lunchtime and the spot dried up, then we were on the hunt again, had some marks on the machine but, no biters. So we shutdown for the night and are going to do the same for tomorrow (wens.) our bait is doing good, the weather is still good for us and holding.
Todays pics., are of Dan B. - Tony W. - Pat D. and Archie A. all with nice size fish.
Till then, wish us luck
