Good morning to all, it's bout 0400 on tues., morning. This report is for monday, our first day on the tuna grounds. Well, it was kinda tough (not bad, but not good) there are tuna here when you can hit the right spot &/or meter mark. So anyhow, which we found both of, we hooked a handful of very nice fish on monday and we ended up with alittle less then a handful of them, there was one stop where we had them jumping around the boat, pretty close too, the one we landed taped out at alittle over 200 lbs, that one was landed by Stan G. his biggest till that day was a 53 lb tuna (pretty darn good). Also in the pics., are K.C. and Jeff S. with a nice pair of fish and also Todd C. with a nice fish. John S. didn't fair as well, but look at that Super Seeker bend as he used the rail to pull on a tuna. As our guest wake to the smell of fresh coffee and breakfest, we are going to stay here in the area and get'em taday!!! The weather is pretty nice down here, warm, light breeze and gentle seas. Bout it for now, just waiting for the sun to rise and to have a hearty breakfast.
Till then, wish us luck

So as we awake to the smells of french toast, bacon and coffee, we are on the tuna grounds. It's round 0500, bout ready to wake Capt. Norm so we all can get to looking for those prize trophy fish. Everyone is very excited about the days events as they unfold (same for me). So, wish us the best of luck, the bait still looks great, as i look out the bridge window, there is a light warm breeze and a gentle swell out of the northwest and the first signs of daylight are to the east now.
Well i gotta get going and get to work for the day.
Wish us all luck,

Hello to everyone at home and work, well, we'll be fishing in the morning and boy is everyone ready to go. As you can see tommy and sean went over the last of there tackle and fishing tips for the guys, we trolled taday, but caught nothing. The weather is holding, sunny and light winds and seas. We had some great food today prep., by bill and eric - burgers and chips for lunch and flank steak and rice for dinner and a great dessert. So now we just have a short ways to go, will shut down the rig about 0100, drift and then start looking at first light for those tunas that everyone is talking about. How about those football games on sunday.
Well that's it for now, wish us all good luck.

Hello everyone out there, we here on the shogun hope everyone had a great turkey day, now it's time to go fishn !!! As i write this report, it is about 1730 on sat., we are in the bridge listening to the collage football game and watching a very nice sunset. We left Fishermans landing on friday, very early in the morning, headed to the bait receivers for a load of dines (they look good) - cleared the point around 0930 and started heading south. As you have heard the bigger tunas are showing up down south here, we are going to travel all day on sunday and then start fishing on monday the 26th, we have the Seeker Rods charter on board and boy are they ready to good. We are having baked ham with all the trimmings and a homemade dessert. The weather is good as we head down. Thats it for now on our end.

Hello everyone, well we just ended our day at the big island halfway down the baja coast. We had a fun day messing around catching a few yellows and calico bass. As of 2000 hr., we stowed the anchor and secured the deck for the ride home, it might get a little choppy. We had a great dinner and right now it is still nice weather. We on the Shogun would like to thank george from Bob Sands Tackle in van nuys for the tackle giveaways and everything else he did on board the shogun. Here are a few pics from the day of fishing. We will check in tomorrow with a short report.

Hello everyone, well we did it again !!!! We found the hoo's we were looking for (yea) everyone on the boat caught one and then some. We had a lot of bites, lost casting jigs, hooks fell off of trolling lures, baits biten in half, wahoo jumping out of the water chasing baits, it was a lot fun. We had a virgin trolling team and guess who the last one was to catch one ???? Sal, it was Bob Perkins - Speaking of Sal where are you ?? How was trout fishing ?? We missed you.. Anyhow we had a very good day taday, as of 1300 hr we called it quits and are heading up the line, going to stop one more time and try for some trophy yellows and hopefully afew butts. Weather is still good, alittle wind chop, bout it for now. Enjoy the pics from taday. Flank steak for dinner tonight.
More info., and pics to follow.
