Today we had decent current on the backside of the island and the bass bite picked up with the improved conditions. Winds were light and the sun came in and out of the clouds. We also picked up some decent bottom fish before noon. Once again Norm moved the Shogun to the front side for an afternoon shot at the yellowtail. There were a few spots up, one looked like a school of foaming tuna as the yellows churned up the surface. A handful of fish were hooked, all on jigs. Only one made it on deck today. The fish only show for a few hours mid-afternoon, then it was back to pyramid to finish out the day.
