Most of today was spent fishing for wahoo, of which didn't show for us all that well. We made up for it with a couple of anchor jobs for consistent biting yellowfin tuna in the smaller class of 10 to 30 pounds. The weather is great and tomorrow we plan on fishing our way north towards San Diego.

It was a long, slow, drawn out day. The fish we did get are big, up to 221 pounds. Sometimes hunting big fish isn't always Calcutta flying and fish coming over the rail, sometimes you have to put in your time at the rail to get your shot at the big ones. We ended up with nine for the day that were over 60 pounds. gotta go the fish are biting thsi morning......

We are visiting the lower banks in search of larger tuna. Today we didn't see any sign, of tuna that is. Later in the day we came across a wad of polypropylene rope attached to a few lobster floats. It was loaded with dorado, so we topped off our limits and then continued the search. The weather is good, warm with a nice breeze, not too hot.

The wahoo's didn't bite as well as hoped for, but we sure made up for it with numbers of yellowfin, yellowtail and at the end of the day, flat out full speed dorado action. Our wind comes and goes, overall its good weather. Now its on to find some bigger fish.

After the yellowtail action died down, we went in search of yellowfin tuna. The rest of the day comprised of trolling looking for dolphin schools and catching a fair amount of nice grade yellowfin with lots of black skipjack to weed through. Our weather was inconsistent at best, with the occasional rain squall rolling through and at times lots of wind. By the evening hours all had settled down and we now have a nice ride down swell towards the upper end of the ridge.
