Tackle Recommendations
Below are our recommended tackle setups for the 2026 season. The Shogun does carry tackle for rent and purchase, but serious anglers will want to bring their own gear.
Terminal Tackle
- Hooks: #3–#1 circle hooks, 1/0–2/0 circle hooks, #1–2/0 J-hooks (4–6 each)
- Sinkers: 4oz, 8oz, 16oz (2–4 each); 1/2–3/4oz sliding egg sinkers
Lures
- Assorted colors surface irons
- Assorted colors 6X Jr and 6X yo-yo
- Assorted colors 200–400 gram knife jigs
- Assorted colors 50–180 gram colt snipers
- Wahoo bombs or heavy trolling lures for longer trips (8+ days)
