Gooooood Morning Anglers!! Shogun departing last weekend 9/10, on a 7-day collecting trip with Stanford University, they returned this AM. The trip was a very successful trip, returning with a good number of 12-18# BFT. Those tuna are on their way up Hwy 5 to be delivered to Stanford's Tuna Aquarium. We also tagged several 175# class fish with numerous tags, including some with cameras. The Shogun will be departing tomorrow on a 10-day collecting trip with Monterrey Bay Aquarium, the primary target is 10-12# YFT. We will report on this trip once they return. -Shogun Sportfishing

Good Morning Anglers-
The Shogun returned yesterday morning from it's annual Rice Bowl Charters 8-Day. Captain Rene Monteagudo and crew put these passengers on some epic fish and made this trip memorable for all. We had a ton of personal bests on the boat and more than half the boat had at least 1 tuna over 100#. A big thanks to Charter Masters Howard Hada & Fred Morioka and all their sponsors. This trip would not be as successful as it is each year without this amazing group. -Shogun Crew |
