Hey folks - we departed yesterday on island tackle 5 day. We have Kevin Aguirre on board representing island fishing tackle. He has lots of giveaways for the folks. Everyone gets at least a couple things from flouro to flat falls, clothing apparel to gift certificates, to the fish processors, As well as two big giveaways, a custom wrapped rod from the shop and 2 speed avet reel. We traveled all day and most the night before we reached our destination. Shortly after daylight we had our first stop. We short stopped most of the day and a few hours before sundown we found a school that really wanted to play. We ended up with a nice catch for the day and lots of happy anglers. We are going to start out the morning trying our hand at some yellowtail action. Wish us luck and lots of biting fish Shogun Crew

Fantastic food, Kenny and Pauline are great finds, the best deckhands I’ve ever seen and Russ put us on fish when the two other boats windward side of us at Colnett couldn’t put on as many as we did. Finally I’d like to thank Howard Hada for sponsoring, his hospitality and conversation made the 3 days spent aboard enjoyable , I consider him a friend and will always look to book on his trips.

Mario Concha " THANK YOU RICE BOWL CHARTERS 3-DAYHey folks - Just getting in from our 3 day Rice Bowl Charter with excellent fishing on yellowtail and dorado. We had great fishing on premium yt up to 28 pounds. Main bulk of the fish 15-20#. We also captured 94 dorado 10-16 pounds, with a few in the 20's and one big one ripping the scale at 48#!
We still have some spots available on upcoming trips. Things are really starting to shape up and with school size yellowfin tuna moving up from down below. Now is the time to secure your spot. We leave on another 3 day this morning so wish us luck! Shogun Crew

Checking in from our 3-day Charter. Day 2 was amazing. Excellent Kelp YT fishing. Lots of fish 12-28#. Good shot at Dorado, all great grade fish. Weather is gorgeous, flat and calm. We ended the day with a full load. Today we will try for Dorado and Tuna. Wish us luck and biting fish. -Shogun Crew Hey guys- We left yesterday on one of our Annual Rice Bowl Charter 3-day trips. Charter Master Howard Hada on board to help make everyone's trip as memorable as possible and to give away tons of stuff!!! Kelp Paddy fishing today, by 9am this morning we had 25 YT and 2 Dorado. We will update you on the full day's count in the morning. -Shogun Crew $1260.00 plus Permit and visa fee ($101.00). Targeting Yellowtail, Dorado and possibly Tuna. Hey folks- we returned this morning with a nice haul of fish. Yellowtail fishing was very good and we had a couple decent shakes on the dorado. A very good mixed bag of fish and size. A big thanks to Ryan Herzog for putting the trip together. See you and the guys again next year.

Hey folks-
we departed today on our annual Sherman Wong 1.5 day charter. We rounded up the folks and were able to get a few hour jump start to try and make out on the fishing grounds this evening. By doing so we managed to get a nice starter package of excellent grade yellows and some dorado. Yellows were 12-28# and the dorado 10-12#. We will be looking for kelps bright and early, so wish us luck. -Shogun Crew We just returned from an open party 3-day trip. We headed down south to fish from the Kelp Paddys, excellent YT fishing. We didn't see any sign of Tuna there so we made our way West. We saw tons of fish, but only ended up landing 2 tuna. 1 120# BFT & 1 31# YFT. Beautiful weather and happy passengers the entire time. We tied up this morning at Fisherman's Landing with limits of YT, about 20 Dorado and the 2 Tuna. Great trip in the books. -Shogun Crew |
